Lift and tighten skin? Yes please…this is a triple threat that gives you about as much tightening and lifting you can get without a knife!
What to lift and tighten your skin but your not ready for dermal fillers or maybe you feel like some faces are looking to fluffy with fillers and unnatural and want another alternative? My top favorites for this would be Ultherapy, RF Micro-needling and PDO threads. Both Ultherapy and the RF micro needling work at a deeper level of tissue to help repair underlying structures creating a lifting and tightening effect.
Ultherapy is micro-focused ultra sound treatment that is non-invasive, non-surgical skin rejuvenating treatment. It works by targeting the underlying facial tissues the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (aka SMAS) as well as the skin dermis and depositing a therapeutic level of energy in these deeper tissues treating the laxity by creating a lift and regenerating collagen. Results are consistent and only one treatment is necessary however as we continue to age and lose more collagen annual treatments may be desired as maintenance.
Radiofrequency microneedling is an effective intervention that can be used repeatedly and safely in combination with other treatment modalities to help improve skin texture, and laxity even in individuals with darker skin. Radiofrequency microneedling–induces dermal remodeling and neocollagenesis (new collagen) slowly but progressively and continues to improve even 6 months after treatment. This procedure can be enhanced by combining treatment such as with Ultherapy in what we like to call “stacking treatments”.
Polydioxanone (PDO) thread lift is a procedure that uses a dissolvable suture to tighten and lift your skin. This is best suited for a person with mild to moderate sagging in laxity in the face and the neck but can be performed in under 45 minutes with minimal to no downtime and provides an immediate result.
The immediate effect is the lifting of the tissue, due to the mechanical action produced by the thread, which contrasts the falling of the area treated. The sutures will dissolve over 4-6 months time but you again get a neocollagenesis effect from the procedure so can be the instant gratification you want while waiting on the effects of the Ultherapy and RF Micro-needling!
